Reconciliation
is the buzzword in this campaign. A bit like 'We are ready' by Jean Charest a few years ago in Quebec. The communication strategy Martelly is obvious. Clean all sides or political influences (although comparisons with the time Duvalier seem obvious), Martelly is as one who can bring people of all persuasions politicians who have spent their bottom panties on the head of the population for several decades. In rooms where we ate in the last weeks, we also heard that kind of talk. We need a national reconciliation to move on. South Africa and Rwanda are examples to all those who aspire to forgive and be forgiven. A. Parra's who 'of Haitian society is divided (for French readers, who parra A's is the Quebecois, not Creole ...). I see the division in South Africa and Rwanda, but I confess it seems a little more diffuse here Ayiti. It smells more the nebula. It may well bring one before the other Duvalier and Aristide, but I am not able to imagine that would be installed face-to-face two groups 'dominant' and 'distinctive' population. White against black in South Africa or Tutsi against Hutu in Rwanda, it seems clearer division as possible reconciliation. Here, I try to imagine how the politicians of the 150 parties would be distributed on each side of the table, how they would be able to remain the same side for the duration of the consultation. I confess, I do not yet reconciled with the proposal.
