Another picture of this macabre yet colorful Carnival. You will explain my fascination in your living room. This festival is among others a chance to show us the colors of voodoo. Throughout the festivities of Carnival in Jacmel on Sunday, one could see what kind of scenes where the black skin painted black, play with the dead, with their minds. Marks slavery never seem too far. These black people running in all directions, sneaking between masks and colorful costumes. They create each time this reaction of fear among the curious who observe the holiday. The staging is always marked by some form of violence. The colors of voodoo inspire fear. It is far from a rational empiricist (materialist, at least) which makes its place in the minds and hearts of a majority of the population. Despite the strong presence of the Catholic church (60% of the population is Catholic) and the various Protestant churches (30% of the population), everyone (100% of the population) knows that the truth is dangerous voodoo, lwa her, his wits, his zombies ...
